Minimum Wage from Jan 01 in Vietnam

On 4 December 2012, the Government issued Decree No.103/2012/ND-CP prescribing the regional minimum salaries for employees working for enterprises, cooperatives, cooperation team, farms, households, individuals, agences and organizations.This replaces the prior Decree 70/2011/ND-CP. Further to Decree 103/2012/ND-CP, on 10 December 2012, Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairshas issued the Circular 29/2012/TT-BLDTBXH guidance in details how to implement the Decree 103/2012/ND-CP. Details of guidance as follows;

 

The regional minimum salaries for the four regions are increased by approximately 17% as follows;

- Region I : VND2,350,000 (increased from VND2,000,000)

- Region II : VND2,100,000 (increased from VND1,780,000)

- Region III : VND1,800,000 (increased from VND1,550,000)

- Region IV : VND1,650,000 (increased from VND1,400,000)

 

Note ) The area for Master Vina Co., Ltd. is Region IV.
